“I have two rings Which I never wear!!” Exclaimed the lady,
“I don’t want to sell them, but can’t think what to do with them?”…
The lady produced two rings, one a large emerald cut aquamarine cluster ring.
The second an eternity ring no longer worn since an upgrade left it redundant in a drawer.
We looked at what style of rings would work with the gemstones we had. We needed to fit ALL the diamonds around the Aquamarine somehow so she could wear them altogether as one brand new ring on her right hand..
Putting together ideas of settings and formations, likes and dislikes, playing around with what would work and what would not. Then of course it was what out of those options would suit her finger and remain in-keeping with existing jewellery. It was agreed that the Aquamarine was to remain the focal point with four squared claws then stepping down to a layer of pave set diamonds in an Art Deco style formation. The Band then tapered with the remaining diamonds again Pave set into the band going around the finger.
“I love it! Only problem is there’s a spare diamond!”
So we designed the underside of the setting to house the spare, a little sparkle on the side!
Once the design was proceeded, the formation of the metal part started, all measurements have to be perfect in order to fit the gemstones perfectly in position…
