It turns out the wedding was to be a black tie affair. The bride to be wanted to give something special, not just to keep, to remember their special day but something meaningful to wear on the day…

The groom to be had originally gone through the bespoke design service in order to surprise his fiancée to be with the engagement ring. She thought it only fitting that the favour should be returned.

The groom had recently been looking into the family tree and had become interested in the ‘Family Crest’ and decided a pair of ‘Family Crest’ Cuff links quite symbolic as her wedding gift to him.

The phrase ‘Family Crest’ is often used interchangeably with the phrases ‘Coat of Arms, Heraldic Crests, Family Names, Scottish Clan Crests, Name Histories, Family Name Heritage, Heraldic Banners  and Family Plaques’

Originally a crest was a symbol placed upon the Helm within a Coat of Arms and was used as a decoration on a Helmet. The Crest was often used to distinguish between members of the same family.

In the grooms case and also the brides to be! The coat of arms featured a Griffin within a shield surrounded by decorative foliage. The option finally chosen was the hexagon in silver featuring a rose gold motif. Rose gold was used in the initial engagement ring and she felt it was a fitting metal to use for her future groom.
